According to the deal, Microsoft will own stake in LinkedIn for USD 196 per share in all cash transaction worth $26.2 billion.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.apixel.com.sg\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/microsoft-linkedin.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-1756\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apixel.com.sg\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/microsoft-linkedin.jpg\" alt=\"Microsoft to Buy LinkedIn for $26.2 Billion!\" width=\"436\" height=\"280\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The deal would not affect LinkedIn brand, culture and operations. The CEO post will be retained by Jeff Weiner, who report to Satya Nadella,<strong> CEO of Microsoft<\/strong>. The deal is expected to be completed in this calendar year as it has been passed by both companies\u2019 boards. However, the deal is still to be approved by the regulators and stakeholders of LinkedIN.<\/p>\n<p>According to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/time.com\/4366106\/linkedin-microsoft-why\/\">Time<\/a><\/strong>, LinkedIn CEO, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/jeffweiner08\" target=\"_blank\">Jeff Weiner<\/a><\/strong> states the reason behind selling LinkedIn to Microsoft. He clarifies,\u201d The Microsoft that has evolved under Satya\u2019s leadership is a more agile, innovative, open and purpose-driven company.,\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Satya_Nadella\" target=\"_blank\">Satya Nadella<\/a><\/strong> is looking forward with this deal as he expresses,\u201d The LinkedIn team has grown a fantastic business centered on connecting the world&#8217;s professionals.&#8221; Further he says, \u201c<strong>Together we can accelerate the growth of LinkedIn, as well as Microsoft Office 365 and Dynamics as we seek to empower every person and organization on the planet.<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>With this news, the shares of LinkedIn go up by 47 percent after the announcement while MS stock was down by 3.2%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Founded in 2002, LinkedIn is the largest professional service with over 433 million users around the world.
